Baba Louie's Pizza made by Ugly's

We are currently creating 2 frozen pizzas options for Marty's. Both are made on our sourdough crust, the first with pesto, mozzarella and chevre ( Perfectly Pesto) and the second is our Queen Margherita, consisting of tomato sauce and mozzarella.

My husband and I have owned a local pizza chain called Baba Louie's in Berkshire County and the Hudson Valley for over 25 years. We also own a bakery, Ugly's Gluten Free Bakery. It was started when I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance and could no longer eat pizza at my own place! Paul and his bakery staff embarked on a journey to create a thin crust, gluten free pizza crust that would closely resemble the sourdough crust we use at the restaurants. Ugly's was born.

Our facility has a dedicated gluten free bakery where we produce our gluten free sourdough pizza crust. We also have a gluten bakery where we make all the pizza crusts and breads that we sell at the restaurants.

Our friends at Bartletts Apple Orchard in Richmond asked us if we would make a few frozen pizzas for their farm store to offer for folks who needed to pick something up quick. A frozen Pizza business was born.

We use the sauce recipe and cheeses we use at the restaurants for the frozen pizzas and have slowly been introducing them to small mom and pop shops and local farm stands.
